The Leica/Wild M10 is the ultra rare and legendary research stereo microscope. The M10 is a stunning, completely apochromatically corrected, 10:1 zoom range stereo zoom microscope. It is ideal for photomicrography. It features a 1.6X PlanApo objective lens with the highest N.A. available (0.210N.A.) on a stereo scope at that time it was released. The M10 features both coarse and fine focus controls.

 

This Leica/Wild M10 includes a pair of Wild widefield eyepieces and an XY table for easy scanning. Three options are available for light sources. First, there is a light box on the back of the base. The light is reflected up through the specimen keeping the heat of the bulb away from the stage. The external power source is not included. Second, coaxial light attachment is included which will direct light down directly to the top of the specimen. Finally, there is an arm on the right side that will hold a fiber light source for oblique lighting. The coaxial light source and fiber source are not included. A camera port with standard C-mount is also included.

Condition:

The photos demonstrate this Wild M10 microscope is in very good cosmetic condition. There is no damage, old inventory stickers, adhesive residue, etc. This unit has been tested and verified to be in good working condition. The zoom, focus, and XY table operate smoothly. The substage light works but no power supply is included. The optics are clear and free of fungus or damage.

 

I hand held my camera up to the eyepiece took the two photos of the micro printing on a $20 bill. It is kind of a crude setup but it demonstrates the minimum and maximum magnification of this microscope.

The Wild M10 is a stunning high end microscope that very rarely comes up on eBay. The last one sold for $4200.
